Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These terms govern the rental of motorbikes and scooters from Bangkok Motorbike Co. ("we", "us", "our") and your use of this website. By booking or hiring a vehicle you agree to these terms and to the full written rental agreement signed at collection, which takes precedence where more specific.
Who you are contracting with
These terms are between you and KLM Hospitality Group Co., Ltd., a company registered in Thailand trading as Bangkok Motorbike Co., registered office 502, 270 Soi Loet Kaeo, Din Daeng, Bangkok 10400, Thailand. Tax ID 0-1055-67191-60-9. References to "we", "us" and "Bangkok Motorbike Co." mean that company.
1. Eligibility
- Renters and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
- Only the person named on the rental agreement may ride the vehicle.
- You must hold a valid motorcycle licence from your home country together with an International Driving Permit (IDP) endorsed for motorcycles, or a Thai motorcycle licence. ASEAN members may use their domestic licence. You are solely responsible for being legally licensed to ride in Thailand.
2. Use of the vehicle
- A helmet must be worn at all times. The rental includes two helmets.
- No off-road riding, racing, or riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- The vehicle must not leave the Bangkok metropolitan area without our prior written consent. Where consent is given, you are responsible for any recovery or repair costs incurred outside Bangkok.
- You are responsible for all traffic fines, towing and impound fees incurred during your rental.
3. Insurance & liability
The rental includes only the mandatory Thai government compulsory insurance ("Por Ror Bor"), which provides limited medical coverage and does not cover damage to the vehicle or to third parties. You ride at your own risk and are personally responsible for medical costs beyond the government cap. We strongly recommend appropriate travel/medical insurance with a motorcycle endorsement.
4. Damage & security deposit
You are responsible for damage to the vehicle during the rental, as set out in the rental agreement's damage schedule. A refundable security/damage deposit is taken at collection and returned when the vehicle is returned on time and in the same condition. Fair wear and tear is not charged.
5. Payment, deposit & late return
- A deposit is payable to confirm a booking; the balance and the refundable damage deposit are due at collection. Payments are processed by our licensed payment provider (Beam Checkout) or accepted in person.
- Vehicles returned more than one hour after the agreed time are charged a late fee of 100 THB per hour.
- Fuel must be returned at the level provided; otherwise a refuelling fee applies.
6. Cancellations & refunds
Please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
