Honda ADV 160 rental in Bangkok

Honda ADV 160 for rent at our Bangkok shop

The Honda ADV 160 is an adventure scooter: as easy to ride as any automatic, but taller, tougher and built for longer days.

It stands 165 mm off the ground on twin sub-tank rear shocks, so potholes, speed bumps and rough tarmac are taken in its stride.

The 157 cc engine has the pace for the highways out of the city. Traction control, ABS and a two-position windscreen make long rides calmer.

Our 2026 ADV has a 5-inch colour screen that links to your phone through Honda RoadSync, and a USB-C socket to keep it charged. Our other ADV is a 2025 model, without that screen.

It is one of the bikes you may take outside Bangkok. Ours were bought in 2026.

Best for

  • ✓Trips out of Bangkok: Pattaya, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi
  • ✓Rough roads and potholes
  • ✓Taller riders
  • ✓Two people on day trips

Choose another bike if…

  • You want a comfortable scooter for two, for less — Yamaha NMAX 155, from ฿618/day
  • You want more power for long highway rides — GPX DZ3 300, from ฿665/day
  • You are staying in the city — Honda Click 160 ABS, from ฿475/day

Honda ADV 160 rental — questions

How much does it cost to rent a Honda ADV 160 in Bangkok?
฿679 a day for two days or more, ฿750 for a single day, ฿3,660 a week and ฿6,270 a month. Prices include VAT. A ฿3,000 refundable hold is taken on collection.
Can I ride the ADV 160 from Bangkok to Pattaya?
Yes. Pattaya is about 150 km away. Take the ordinary Bang Na–Trat road (Highway 34), not the expressway above it, then Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) through Bang Saen. Motorcycles are banned from Motorway 7. Each rental day includes 150 km, pooled, so a three-day rental covers 450 km.
Can I take the ADV 160 to Hua Hin or Kanchanaburi?
Yes. Hua Hin is about 200 km: Rama 2 Road (Highway 35), then Highway 4 — stay off the elevated M82 expressway. Kanchanaburi is about 120 km on ordinary roads; motorcycles may not use Motorway 81.
Does the ADV 160 connect to my phone?
Our 2026 ADV does: its 5-inch colour screen links to your phone through the Honda RoadSync app, and there is a USB-C socket for charging. Our other ADV is a 2025 model, without the colour screen or the phone link.
Honda ADV 160 or Yamaha NMAX?
The ADV 160 is taller and tougher, with more ground clearance for rough roads. The NMAX sits lower, rides smoothly on good roads and costs less. Both may leave Bangkok.
Can I rent the ADV 160 by the month?
Yes. A month is ฿6,270 — far less per day than renting day by day. Pick your dates in the calendar above and book online.
Can I ride the ADV 160 outside Bangkok?
Yes. Tell us before you set off. 150 km a day is included, pooled across the whole rental; further is ฿2 per km. Motorcycles are not allowed on Thailand's motorways or toll expressways, so plan your route on ordinary highways. If the bike can't be ridden back, recovery from outside Bangkok is at your expense.
Do I need a licence to rent a scooter in Bangkok?
Yes. You need a Thai motorcycle licence, a licence from an ASEAN country, or an International Driving Permit endorsed for motorcycles, carried with your home licence. A car-only permit is not enough. No licence? Ask about our Thai licence service.
Do you keep my passport?
No. We never keep passports. We take a ฿3,000 hold in cash or Thai QR, and it comes back in full when the bike returns in the same condition.
What if the bike already has marks on it?
Take your own photos or a video of any marks before you ride away. We also photograph you with the bike at collection, and that photo goes on your signed agreement.
Is insurance included?
Yes. Every bike carries Por Ror Bor, Thailand’s compulsory motor insurance. It covers injury to people, not damage to the bike or other vehicles, so we recommend your own travel insurance too.
What if it breaks down?
Call or message us — support runs 24/7. If it is a genuine mechanical fault, we sort it out as quickly as we can. Accident damage, tyres and punctures are the rider’s responsibility.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes. Thai law requires a helmet for the rider and the passenger, and police fine riders without one. Two helmets come with every bike.
